tlw

I have been watching the L word. Yeah, like finally I've finished season 4 and am onto season 5. I know I'm slow but yeah.

And I kind of need to get this of my chest. I so hate Jenny.

Ps: I saw the advertisement for The Arena last week on ch 5,and Dr. S was wearing a sailor suit. He should do that in school. Makes life more interesting for us.

unfit.

I went running today.

I finally got about to doing it. After not running, or jogging for close to a year, I felt that I needed the adrenaline rush again. I had visions of me completing say 10 rounds around the park. It would be long and slow considering how long I was off from exercising. But I can tell you, I failed terribly.

I only managed to do 5 rounds and it was a torture.

I was disappointed with myself but I guess I really needed to stop. I think I was just looking for something when I'm not yet fit for it. I've forgotton that running is a process, and to achieve that adrenaline rush, it takes time, determination and endurance. It was just kind of difficult for me to get this idea into my head cus I kind of take my fitness for granted. I mean after playing a sport and training actively it for the last 8 years, I didnt think that I would 'degenerate' till this rate.

I told my brother about it when I got home and he laughed at me. Frankly speaking, even though he finished 10km last year, I doubt he can do any better than me now. Hees.

Over my head

If Singapore have seasons, we will be experiencing summer now.

I'm so glad that exams are over. It feels so unbelievable, that everything is over and I can now embrace my three months holiday. Well, the end of exams for Sem 2 also signify the end of my first year in uni. It seems like it got over too quickly, and nothing seems to have changed since the first day I entered school. And even though I only end on Tuesday, I already began celebrations on Saturday.

R. and I went to the 'Seafood Paradise' near our place after I developed this craving for crabs.

We reached around 5.15pm and my, thank goodness we had a table. I guess we were really lucky as more of the tables are already reserved. So the next time if we were to visit, I guess we better call in advance to reserve. I dint know about this place until R. told me about it and I was surprised that there were actually quite good food that could be found near my place.

We ordered fried rice and chilli crabs with mantou. By the end of it all, we were utterly full. The fried rice was very nice with scallops and crunchy prawns and I think, prawn roe in them. They also have this sauce that we can dip the prawns into that was kind of tangy and sweet at the same time so it made it very appetizing. However, it kind of cool off too fast so it wasnt that nice after we had the first bowl.

The crabs were utterly delicious. We had a 1.1kg crab all to ourselves and oh mine, it was remarkable. The 'gong' were almost the same size as my fist and the shells come off very easily. Just peel and ta-dah! The sauce were thick and spicy which goes very well with their fried mantou. Their mantous were so crispy~ When compared to the ones I had in Xiao Hou Lou at ECP, theirs were heaven. After finishing the crabs, we even ordered extra mantous so as not to waste the sauce.
The crabs cost $36 per kg so if you have a tad money to spare and have a craving to fulfill, this place is not bad to satisfy that craving. Overall, we spent $63 including towels, nuts, drinks, mantou and service charge. The fried rice cost $10 and we thought that it was quite cheap. As for the price of the crabs, go figure. Hehe.

Waiting time (for food) is approximately 30minutes to 40 minutes regardless of crowd or no crowd. Guess they need to cook slowly and carefully in order to serve good and delicious food to the table. You know, 'man gong chu si huo'.

I have already come up with mini list of things that I need to do this hols. Hopefully, I'm able to achieve them and not procrastinate and slack like previous hols. Wish me luck.

Till then`

sore

I’m feeling a little sore. It may be from the exams, that many of the peeps from NTU have already finished theirs whereas mine has barely even started, but it is definitely because I’m feeling deprived.

3 of my frens (rather, 2 frens and 1 cousin) have gone or are going to America for work! Be it with the school or an establishment out of school, they are there to have some fun. It may be sai gang, but c’mon, it’s the whole experience that counts. The reason that has started this outburst is because I just met LL at the bus-stop and she’s flying over to Ohio this Sunday. Sigh.

And she was telling me about her job, where she can get to go, what she can do and the employee benefits that she can get. She will be able to travel to Philadelphia, visit the Niagara Falls, travel to New York etc. And I’m so bloody jealous.

Its been such a long time since I’m out of Singapore.

Because I don’t think I have saved enough to leave this 3 months hols, I think I shall do it in December. After whining to my brother, we decided to go to HongKong. Be it with frens or with our parents. Yeah.

I shall start small. And before you know it, I will be going all over the world.

On a side note, New York New York is opening in our small little Heartland Mall Kovan. Can you believe it?! Its located on the 2nd floor in the building. Have no idea when they are opening but I should think soon.

wind

Its amazing that I'm online at this hour.

I'm usually sleeping already.

So after yawning for like ten thousand times in the day, I realised I cant sleep at night.

Bloody stomach wind.

Good Morning

It was nice seeing you after a 'long' time. Even though it was only for a short while.

Thursday, April 10, 2008

I just bought a new quilt cover and I almost dint want to wake up. Its smooth and comfy and of course, its expensive as well (even thou it was on promotion). It has a 'brinjal' colour and it makes me want to go back to sleep even more than before. This is bad.

Anyway, I've finally pulled myself up from bed to prepare to go to school. Alas! Today's lecture will be conducted by a guest lecturer and you all now how we all love to listen to guest lecturers cus of the pictures they show during their presentation but we never ever take notes or remember what they say? So I think I shall do myself a favour and not turn up today and thus save two and a half hours of travelling time.

I'm feeling really lazy. I dint go for tuition yesterday, I got overdue readings and I need to go to work later. I cant wait for the last day when I quit.

It was nice working there for a while. However, all the full time staff are quitting, the doctors are leaving, the organisation's crappy, so there's no point staying there for too long. The novelty of it is worn out. Its time to move on and look for something new after the exams.

Speaking of which, term is ending!

I was at Terminal 3 the other day.The telephones there have interactive games, you know, touch screen. You can play them for free. Hit the bunny is only one of the few games that they have. I scored 21 points!
