Shieldtox

I am now damn proud of myself because I just killed a flying cockroach.Bold Damn I dont understand why cockroaches must learn to fly beacuse they are horrible enough even if they dont fly. This guy just flew into my window like that and I was scared shit because it was flying around for I dont know what. Then came Shieldtox to the rescue! Must run to kitchen at lightning speed to make sure that when I ran back, I still know where the cockroach is ok!

Anyway, the cockroach has retreated into a nook under my organ. I am gg to spray just one last time to make sure it dies. I've placed the Shieldtox right outside the nook so if it ever struggles out to take its last breathe of fresh air, it will be able to see what killed it. The Wonderful Shieldtox.

Celebrations brought forward

Picture was taken after dinner at Old Airport Road. Its kind of small here but the moon (I love moon) is there in my digicam alright. The sunset was gorgeous. It was nice to have such a view after a much sought-after dinner. Food was delish and I was damn full.

Lets see:
Satays
Popiah
Chee Cheong Fun
Chicken Wings
Cai Tow Kueh
Tiramisu
All washed down with sugar cane juice!

R and I hopped on the "Going to Chinatown or Little India?" free shuttle bus for the first time and felt like tourists in our own city. We also found out that Singapore is damn small from the ride - Clarke Quay is just behind Novena and they are within walking distance. We ended up in Chinatown, buying food to eat again. The German guy selling the sausages was all dressed up in a santa outfit, with beard and scarf and going "HO! HO! HO!" as he sells his stuff. I asked if he was hot but he said he's slimming for free.

Yeah. It feels like exams has ended already I know - I did shit for the prev paper but I dont think it really matters now. I only wish that my thailand trip can commence as planned. Looking forward to get out of the city even though I'm just going to some rural area. MUST bring digi and vivi along! And the best thing abt vivi? No need battery!

LSM 1301 is shit

I cant believe that I'm worrying so much about the bio paper tmr. Firstly, its open book. Secondly, its mcq. BUT, I never study Bio before. And the weightage for one mcq is one percent. 60 qns will translate to 60% of the module. Thats horribly heavy weightage.

Suddenly I wish that tmr's a geog paper instead. Any geog paper. Level 3000 also can.
Argh! I'm so going to die!

A walk in the neighbourhood

My mum took me on a walk around the neighbourhood after dinner today (strictly speaking, it's ytd cus it's alr past twelve). She showed me the way that she take to work everyday. It was somewhere behind my block, at the private estates. Very near, but I never did went to explore that area before. It was nice. She showed me the house that her colleague would love to have, the fake flower that her fren thought was real, and the park! The park was quite sparse. But it has swings, and the roundabout thing that PP has. It looks like quite a nice place to hang out and have some alone time.

Its always nice to discover new places. Its even nicer that my mum brought me there.

I've been glued to the computer lately becuase of all the films that I'm able to watch. And dammit, I just found out that K-PAX has been made into a movie like 7 years ago. How can it be that I know about this only now?

Holy cow!

unsatisfied

I learnt today, the hard way, that pratas are usually not sold in the afternoon.

I was craving for pratas so much that I walked to three places that sells prata in close vicinity to no avail. Ended up even hungrier before I set off on my 'quest' for pratas. Yeah I settled on something else for lunch.

Why is it that people dont sell pratas during lunch? Or if they do, they only sell those that are left from the morning. I no want to eat cold prata. I want my hot cripsy prata! And you think there will be alternatives like tosai ot tosia or murtabk or roti john etc. But NO. They dont sell that during lunch either.

argh PRATAS!

wel fare

I am enjoying a little holiday. Since the completion of the three big projects, I’ve been indulging in a little too much sleep, tv and of course, the internet. In fact, it feels as thou exams are already over. Till I realized that the semester is coming to an end and the big E is just around the corner. The guilt is trying to eat me up but I’m just shrugging the feeling off.

But I think being lazy for a while is for my own good. I’m not trying to justify my own laziness, its just that the past few weeks were a little traumatic. Too many things were happening at the same time. And when there’s stress, there’s friction. Often, I feel like I couldn’t take it anymore when people start piling things that doesn’t concern me on top of me or start whining about minute things that I don’t really care about.

So I bitch to my brother. My poor brother. But I guess he needs some excitement (which comes in the form of gossips) in his life. If not, he might just die of boredom by staying at home all day. Cause he can’t go swimming you see. And when he can’t go swimming, he’s kind of crossed. And it all boils down to the unpredictable weather.

The year is passing faster than I actually imagined it to be. At least, I have things to look forward to before it ends.

To see Obama being elected (yeah!)makes me feel a little...touched? I was watching the speech he made to America and I thought it was really moving. I'm happy I get to be part of history! How I hope I can feel the same about my own country's election. Even though I'm already better off than the rest as I stay in a highly contested area =D
